I am Accredited member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).  As such I adhere to their guidelines for good practice.

Will I tell anyone else what you tell me?

What is said between us is confidential and only in exceptional circumstances will this agreement be broken. What constitutes these circumstances will generally be if I suspect that there is a high risk of serious harm to either yourself or others. When we first meet, I will go through a counselling agreement with you which clearly states how confidentiality works. You may however telephone me to discuss any concerns which you may have in this area.
